"Little Lights in the Masses" is a release which takes a slight detour from the non-existent Timetheory norm, into more instrumental territory. Given Willingly is the project of Andreas Niegl, and is a sort of one-man free sound/jazz band, and the music blends elements of turntablism, post-rock, ambient, noise/drone and psychedelic jazz. The track titles evoke images of movie scenes, with a distinct feeling of being transported throughout.
This album perhaps resembles what might have happened if Talk Talk had gone more fusion than blues. Enjoy the cinematic sounds of "Little Lights in the Masses", as it will no doubt evoke its own movie in your head as you do.
